The silver identification tag, located on the back of your tanning unit, gives the complete model name of the unit. For tanning beds use the one located on the canopy, or hood section. Booths only have one tag, directly above the power connection. Please see the diagrams below to identify your tanning unit. The first letter of the model number (see below), found on the silver identification tag,
is the design series, followed by the equipment model designation. Ignore the H (Hood) or B (Bench) at the END of the model
number (if present) as the individual model pages incorporate both. Years ago the "/CSA" signified that the unit had been
certified to also be sold in Canada. You may ignore this as well. Newer Planet Beach models dropped this nomenclature although
they still carry the same certifications. ![]() Tanning beds manufactured for the 2006 model season, except for the Solar System 32, adopted a new naming system due
to a new manufacturing process. The diagram on the right, below, shows the new naming system. ![]() |
